Destitute

Destitute Rehabilitation: 

Social Welfare Department to focus on those who are homeless and in need of protection can be defined as the destitute Destitute Persons Act 1977. Department of Social Welfare periodic and ad-hoc always do for a rescue operation consisting of destitute beggars and the homeless. 

Destitute definition: 

A person found begging in a public place in such a way as to cause or likely to cause annoyance to the common people visit the place or to hold a nuisance or an idle person found in a public place whether or not it beg, do not have eyes search on the face or place of residence or who are unable to express himself satisfactorily case.

  • Desa Bina Diri (DBD):
    An institution that provides shelter and rehabilitation for the poor.
  • • The poor admitted to Desa Bina Diri is through:

    • • volunteered with the approval of the Director of State Social Kebajkan where the poor lived.
    • • Those who are placed in these institutions will be taught the appropriate skills such as sewing, trades, gardening etc. in preparation put them back into the family or community, and to be independent.
