Caring Service Unit (UKP)

Introduction

In determining the well-being of the community through a variety of services available, the Social Welfare Department to give priority to the improvement of service delivery systems. JKM has always been sensitive to the expectations and needs of the community in need of services more efficiently, quickly and effectively. One of the mechanisms to achieve this is through expansion and enhancement of existing service delivery team to the community especially the target group up to the grassroots level, regardless of where they are.

The current scenario also showed concern for the society to the problems and suffering of individuals, families and communities who considered dropping out of the mainstream of development and did not get the proper help or assistance.Many news about such cases displayed through print and electronic media. By the JKM to take an effective approach that can determine a wide range of services to prevent the spread of the dropout problem in need of the service delivery system provided by JKM.

Caring Service Unit concept

UKP Program is a program of social outreach to the community, especially closer JKM marginalized communities, destitute, poor and who could not find help. Through outreach approach, delivery service is no longer just concentrated in the office instead of the officers and staff involved will out flank and identify target groups to deliver the required services.

UKP concept to operate mobile services and referral assistance centrally to help individuals, families, communities and other people in need in the local area through the services and programs provided by the Social Welfare Department, other agencies and Voluntary Welfare Association (PSK). Caring Services JKM Unit is of mini buses and vans. A total of 61 vehicles were placed PCU throughout the state.

  • • A reference center that involve agencies under the ministry, other agencies & Volunteer Welfare Organisation.
